We’re currently sitting at 5 health and 3 mana. Another Life Cell Fragment was on the way, which increased our health by 1. We could test out the sentry while looking for secrets. After leaving Opher, there was a big area of the map I haven’t discovered so I worked my way west. This can be helpful in some more of those combat shrines. We can drop the sentry in the middle of a couple of enemies and it will attack them for us. I’m sitting at 848 Spirit Light so I chose another ability out of his store.
Heading towards the main objective, I reached Opher again. Without the limitations of only equipping three, the beginning of the game should be much easier. Although I don’t have five spirit shards that I can use, getting new ones will be exciting. By the end, it netted another Shard Slot Upgrade. There were about double the enemies of the first one we encountered. Combat Shrine and Upgradesīelow the save point was another Combat Shrine. On the way I destroyed another floor piece and grabbed a fourth Gorlek Ore. Which reminds me, I need to save the game! I headed all the way south to the only known save point. Dying and losing progress in this game after playing for about 30 minutes would be horrible.
These really come in handy early in the game. I break through the floor and find another Life Cell Fragment. This is the exact reason I picked up the Spirit Smash ability from Opher. South of the shrine I could see a spot on the map that had a breakable floor. I also picked up an Energy Cell Fragment, which I believe is the first one! On the way, I received our third Gorlek Ore. I realized I’m in the place that will help move us along in the story, so I turn around to find the rumor. They say they know where Ku fell, although Ku might not be there anymore. On our way to this rumor, I took a wrong turn and came across some Moki that speak of Ku. Opher speaks of a rumor to the east where we can go and test our new ability. It has an incredibly wide range on the attack, and will probably hit really hard. Spirit Smash is the skill that I went with. I figured this will come in handy the most, so I should pick one of these. Two out of the five abilities in the shop have the ability to destroy unstable ground. The first ability will cost 400 so I will have plenty left over. For this first purchase, we’ll get the abilities at half price. Shriek scares the Moki into hiding, and might even eat them! This particular Moki is a weapon master and can grant us new abilities. The giant bird of the area is called Shriek. I guess these animals are called Moki? He shares some wisdom with us about the woods. 8.To the northeast, I come across another Moki, Opher. Purchasing one will show all the collectibles you've yet to snag, which is well worth the price. He sells three maps: one for Energy Cells, one for Life Cells, and one for Spirit Shards. A bit deeper into the game, you'll be able to purchase special maps from Lupo at his home in the hub area. Fortunately, like the first game, Ori and the Will of the Wisps makes spot-cleaning easy. Perfectionistic collectors won't want to miss a single Energy Cell, Life Cell, or Spirit Shard. You can reveal all missing Energy Cells, Life Cells, and Spirit Shards by buying maps If it does, it can be upgraded, so be sure to visit the merchant and level up your favorite Shards.
